Data Deletion Instructions

1. Overview of Data We Collect
HackHunters collects the following types of data when you use our services:
- Account information (name, email, phone)
- Connected account settings (Gmail, Microsoft, social media)
- Security scan results and findings
- Intake form responses
- Purchase and subscription records
- Identity correlation data
We do not collect or store email message contents, social media posts, photos, or private messages.
2. What Is Deleted on Request
When you request account deletion, we permanently delete:
- Your account profile and authentication credentials
- All connected account tokens (Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Security scan sessions and all findings
- Social media scan results
- Identity correlation records
- Intake forms and case information
- Contact identities and security events
Purchase records and free scan metadata are anonymized (not deleted) to maintain service analytics. No personally identifiable information is retained.
3. How to Request Deletion
Option A: Self-Service Deletion (For Account Holders)
If you have an active HackHunters account:
- Log in to your account at www.hackhunters.ai/login
- Navigate to Dashboard → Settings
- Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section
- Confirm that you understand the deletion is permanent
- Click "Delete My Account"
Option B: Email-Based Deletion (For Non-Account Holders)
If you do not have an account or previously used HackHunters without creating an account (e.g., used the free risk scan), you may request deletion of all data associated with your email address by contacting us.
We will locate and permanently delete all personal data associated with that email address across our identity graph, free scans, security findings, and historical records.
Email us at support@email.hackhunters.ai with:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- The email address you want deleted from our system
- Any additional context about when you used our services
Option C: General Email Request
If you cannot access your account or have other concerns, email us at support@email.hackhunters.ai with details about your request.
4. Revoking OAuth Access
In addition to deleting your HackHunters account, you may want to manually revoke our access from your connected accounts:
Google Account
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Sign in to your Google Account
- Find "HackHunters" in the list of connected apps
- Click on it and select "Remove Access"
Microsoft Account
https://account.live.com/consent/Manage
- Sign in to your Microsoft Account
- Find "HackHunters" in the list of apps
- Click "Remove these permissions"
https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
- Go to Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find "HackHunters" and click "Remove"
https://www.instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/
- Go to Settings → Security → Apps and Websites
- Find "HackHunters" and click "Remove"
Twitter/X
https://twitter.com/settings/connected_apps
- Go to Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions
- Find "HackHunters" and click "Revoke access"
5. Expected Deletion Timeline
- Self-service deletion: Immediate (within seconds)
- Email requests: 48-72 hours
- Backup purge: Up to 30 days for complete removal from backups
